Back in 1972, the lovely Mrs. Leslie Higgs collected all these recipes from the ladies of Nassau to compile this cookbook. Inside, it reads “copyright Mrs. Leslie Higgs” and she even did the cover art — what an enterprising woman! The foreword explains, these recipes have been collected for 40 years from ladies, “past and present.” There’s 155 pages of recipes, plus fun local ads that are just fun to see. The cover shows normal wear for a 50-year-old book, and the book’s previous owner wrote her name on the inside. (See pics — thanks, Evelyn.) This is the 12th edition.
