Description
When the Lights Go Down: Film Writings 1975–1980 is the sixth collection of movie reviews by the critic Pauline Kael.
All material in the book originally appeared in The New Yorker.
This is a first edition, hardcover edition of the book, in great condition. There is a small tear on the jacket in the front (see photo), and a small blemish on the spine, from what was probably an old price tag. On the inside, there’s an old price tag, and the previous owner wrote their name in ink in the upper right hand corner of the first page. There’s also an embossing stamp in the same corner. Other than that, it’s very clean!
